You are registering for the Beginner’s Guide course that begins on October 19 at 7:00 PM CT.
What you can expect:
5 weekly sessions, 1.5 hours each,
same time each week
Minimal homework between sessions
Each session includes:
- 15–20 minutes of discussion
- 45–50 minutes of teaching
- Another 15–20 minutes of discussion
Safe space for honest, and possibly hard, conversations about race
“Donate What You Can” to support costs
Ground Rules:
We believe good conversations need clear ground rules. To help create a safe, respectful space, we’ve outlined a few guidelines. You will be asked to agree to these when you register.
I Commit To:
Be Present — Consistent attendance and limited distractions
Use “I” Statements — Speak personally, not universally
Show Respect — Disagree without being disagreeable
Listen Actively — Seek to understand, then make space for every voice
Maintain Confidentiality — What is said in class stays in class
