You are registering for the Beginner’s Guide course that begins on May 14 at 6:30 PM CT.
What you can expect:
5 weekly sessions, 1.5 hours each,
same time each week
Minimal homework between sessions
Each session includes:
- 15–20 minutes of discussion
- 45–50 minutes of teaching
- Another 15–20 minutes of discussion
Safe space for honest, and possibly hard, conversations about race

Ground Rules:
We believe good conversations need clear ground rules. To help create a safe, respectful space, we’ve outlined a few guidelines you’ll agree to when you register.
I commit to being present and engaged, understanding that sometimes there are conflicts that do arise.
I commit to respect my facilitators and fellow classmates by using “I statements,” listening to understand, and avoiding sweeping declarative statements.
I commit to the confidentiality of the conversations that take place in my class.
I commit to doing my part in allowing each person to have their voice heard.
